Greenspan & Weider's comprehensive model of treatment for children with challenges in relating and communicating including Autism Spectrum Disorder.
This is a two-day workshop. Thirteen (13) contact hours.
DIR®/Floortime is the developmentally appropriate, relationship based approach to treatment that addresses the individual differences of the child. The goal of a "Floor Time" program is to develop a continuous flow of interaction with a child throughout their day. This conference will explore: D - six core capacities of Functional Emotional Development I - individual differences of the child R - relationships that are the vehicle for creating learning interactions.
Phys Dys & Upper Extremity/Hands with Specialty Certified Occupational Therapists and Surgeons
Participants will choose from eleven courses including case studies, labs, lectures and specialty programs to enhance your OT Practice.
Two-day participation will earn thirteen (13) contact hours.
Respected surgeons Steven B. Care, MD and Michael J. Curtin, MD will headline the Hands and Upper Extremity track along with specialty certified occupational therapists. Participants will increase knowledge of current concepts in shoulder and elbow surgical techniques as well as appropriate rehabilitation design post operatively for common orthopedic complaints with an emphasis on best practice therapy.
Phys Dys participants will learn about the Idaho AgrAbility Project - a practice model for community based intervention in rural communities and OT and Community Mobility - best practice models for driver rehabilitation.
Both tracks may choose to participate in hands-on labs for modalities, splinting, kinesiotaping and shoulder evaluation.
