Outlook for the occupational therapy profession
According to the
Bureau of Labor Statistics, occupational therapy is one of the fastest growing
professions. This means that more and more clients requiring occupational
therapy. As OTs and OTAs, we recognize the demand, but we must also work
to fill that need.

US News and World Reports places Occupational Therapy on the 31 Best Careers list
Based on salary, flexibility, stress, working environment and advancement potential within the field, occupational therapy has again been recognized as an outstanding career choice.
According to US News the field of Occupational Therapy is a smart choice and the job of occupational therapist is
described as a "challenging career that's best for creative, practical people who find satisfaction in small successes."

Education in the Pacific Northwest
Idaho State University is
Idaho's occupational therapy school. As of 2007, those entering the
program will earn a master's degree in occupational therapy (MOT).
